Saturday, September 26. Day 12 after Apple shipped iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 on September 14. The tip on Apple Developer Releases is still 24A437. There is still no iOS 27.0.1 or iPadOS 27.0.1 row on that page. Apple’s security releases index still lists only iOS 27 / iPadOS 27 for the phone and tablet line.
That matters this weekend. Apple already told reporters a software update for the iPhone 18 Pro Face ID reboot issue would land early next week. Monday, September 28, opens that window. Nothing matching 27.0.1 has appeared on the two pages that usually confirm a seed or a public advisory first.

Public tip stays 24A437
On Releases, the shipping entries remain:

- iPadOS 27.0 – 24A437

Those numbers have not moved since the public day. Settings > General > Software Update on a normal iPhone still has no newer public build.
Apple has not published an iOS 27.0.1 build number, release notes page, or security advisory row. Outside reports that Apple is testing 27.0.1 remain unconfirmed by those indexes. Our note on the early-next-week Face ID software fix still stands as Apple’s spoken timing, not a posted seed.
Early-next-week window opens Monday
Apple’s line to 9to5Mac on September 24 was clear enough: a software update early next week for some iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max units that restart after a failed Face ID attempt, often when unlocking an app such as Passwords. The company did not name the version string in that reply.
From Saturday Asia/Shanghai time, “early next week” means the week that starts Monday, September 28. That is not confirmation that 27.0.1 ships Monday morning, or that the Face ID fix and a 27.0.1 label are the same package.
What is confirmed on Apple’s own pages today is thinner. Releases still ends its iOS tip at 24A437. The security releases document, last marked published September 23, still shows watchOS 27.0.1 for Series 12 and Ultra 4 at the top, then iOS 27 / iPadOS 27 from September 14.

watchOS 27.0.1 already shipped
The Watch side moved first. Apple’s security index lists watchOS 27.0.1 on September 23 for Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 only, with no published CVE entries. Developer Releases never listed a build string for that point release in our scrape.
Wrist OS already took a 27.0.1 hop for unexpected restarts on the new models. Phone and tablet OS have not matched it. More detail sits in the watchOS 27.0.1 firmware note.
27.2 tip still 24B5089g
On the developer track, nothing new overnight. The tip builds from September 21 remain:

Xcode tip is still Xcode 27.1 beta (27A9269) from September 18, with Xcode 27.2 beta (27B5019j) from September 16 also listed. Newer Releases items this week are tooling: App Store Connect API 4.5, App Store Connect 3.3, and TestFlight 4.4.0. Those are not iPhone system updates.
Friday’s day-11 build freeze note already mapped this stall. Saturday adds the calendar fact that Apple’s spoken Face ID window now sits on the other side of the weekend. For prior beta numbers, the 24B5089g beta 2 write-up still matches today’s tip.
What Apple has not confirmed
Apple has not posted iOS 27.0.1 or iPadOS 27.0.1 on Developer Releases. It has not added those versions to the security releases table. It has not published a build number for a Face ID reboot patch. It has not said whether the early-next-week update will be labeled 27.0.1, ship to all iPhone models on iOS 27, or land as a narrower fix.
Until one of those pages moves, the shipping tip for iPhone and iPad stays 24A437. Keep automatic updates on if you want the first public seed when it appears.
