Apple’s security releases index added watchOS 27.0.1 on September 23. The row is limited to Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. It lists no CVE entries.
That is the first new shipping string on the watch side since the September 14 watchOS 27 launch. iPhone software did not move with it. Public iOS 27 is still 24A437 on day 10.

watchOS 27.0.1 on Series 12 and Ultra 4 only
The Apple security releases page, updated September 23, now says the latest watchOS is 27 for Apple Watch Series 9 and later, and 27.0.1 for Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 only. The advisory line for 27.0.1 is short: available for those two models, release date 23 Sep 2026, no published CVE entries.
Apple Developer Releases still shows watchOS 27.0 as 24R364 from the September 14 wave. It does not list a 27.0.1 build row next to that shipping entry. Check Settings, General, About on a Series 12 or Ultra 4 after install if you need the exact catalog string on the wrist.
This is not the watchOS 27.2 beta track. Developer Releases still has watchOS 27.2 beta 2 as 24S5091f from September 21, the same companion seed logged with iOS 27.2 beta 2.
Public iPhone tip still 24A437 on day 10
iOS 27.0 and iPadOS 27.0 remain 24A437 on Apple Developer Releases. That is the same shipping tip we logged after the September 14 public day, and again in yesterday’s public-beta firmware note.
The security index still names iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 as the latest phone and tablet releases, dated 14 Sep 2026. There is no iOS 27.0.1 row for iPhone. There is no iOS 27.1 shipping build either, even though Apple said iPhone Duo will run iOS 27.1 when it becomes available on October 23.

27.2 beta tip unchanged: 24B5089g
Developer Releases last moved the 27.2 phone builds on September 21. iOS 27.2 beta 2 and iPadOS 27.2 beta 2 are still 24B5089g. Companion developer beta 2 seeds from that day are unchanged: macOS 27.2 at 26B5091g, tvOS 27.2 at 24K5093g, visionOS 27.2 at 24N5093f, watchOS 27.2 at 24S5091f.
The first public beta path for iOS 27.2 opened September 22. Feature details for the redesigned Health app, Quest labs, and Siri AI languages are in our News public-beta brief. Apple’s Developer Releases page still does not print a separate public-beta build string. The last confirmed 27.2 row there is developer beta 2.
Xcode 27.1 beta remains 27A9269 from September 18. Xcode 27.2 beta is still 27B5019j from September 16. Neither tool row moved with watchOS 27.0.1.

What Apple has not confirmed
Apple has not posted an iOS 27.0.1 or iPadOS 27.0.1 on the security index. It has not listed an iOS 27.1 device beta or RC on Developer Releases. It has not published a 27.0.1 build number next to the watchOS shipping row. It has not seeded a new 27.2 developer beta since September 21.
Earlier freezes on the phone side are still useful context: the day-7 note when 27.2 beta was still stuck on 24B5084k before beta 2 arrived. Today’s change is on the wrist, not on iPhone.
