Day 7 after the public iOS 27 drop. Apple’s release channel for phones and iPads has not moved. The build that shipped September 14 is still 24A437. The developer releases page still shows no 27.0.1. No public 27.1 row either.
The developer device train is frozen in the same place. iOS 27.2 beta / iPadOS 27.2 beta remains 24B5084k from September 16. There is no 27.2 beta 2 on the feed. The only notable new seed since that freeze is tooling: Xcode 27.1 beta 27A9269, posted September 18.

Public tip still 24A437 on day 7
iOS 27.0 and iPadOS 27.0 stay listed as 24A437. Apple’s date on that row is still September 14. Settings, General, About should still read 27.0 (24A437) on devices that took the public update.
We covered the quiet sixth day in yesterday’s six-day still-24A437 note. Nothing overnight replaced that string. Software Update offering an empty list is normal while Apple keeps this build as the public tip.
The security releases index at support.apple.com still points the latest iOS / iPadOS 27 advisory to September 14. No newer security row for 27 has appeared since public day.

27.2 beta still 24B5084k, no beta 2
The device beta train has not advanced since September 16. iOS 27.2 beta and iPadOS 27.2 beta remain 24B5084k. That matches the earlier 24B5084k 27.2 beta write-up. Apple has not listed a second 27.2 beta on the releases page.
Companion betas from the same day are still macOS 26B5086k, tvOS 24K5088l, visionOS 24N5088l, and watchOS 24S5086l. Registered developers who stay on the Developer Beta track will see those strings in Settings, General, Software Update and again in About after install.
What Apple has not shipped
As of this morning’s check of developer.apple.com/news/releases/, Apple has not posted:
- iOS 27.0.1 or iPadOS 27.0.1
- A public iOS 27.1 / iPadOS 27.1 row
- iOS 27.2 beta 2 (or any newer 27.2 device seed after 24B5084k)
- A newer iOS / iPadOS 27 security advisory after September 14
Apple has also not confirmed a public calendar date for iOS 27.1 or iOS 27.2 on the releases feed. Do not treat rumor calendars as Apple dates.
The one clear move after the device freeze is Xcode. Stable Xcode 27 remains 27A266a from September 14. Xcode 27.2 beta 27B5019j arrived September 16 with the 27.2 OS betas. Then Xcode 27.1 beta 27A9269 landed September 18. That IDE seed does not change the phone public channel. The shipping device note for public 24A437 still stands.
iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS still cannot be downgraded after an update installs. Keep a backup before any beta. Public users waiting for 27.0.1 still have nothing new on Apple’s pages today.
