Apple’s developer releases list now shows iOS 27.0 and iPadOS 27.0 as build 24A437. That is not the 24A435 string from the September 9 RC note. IPSW.me lists the same 24A437 for iPhone firmware dated September 14.
Yesterday’s Firmware piece still tracked 24A435 and an empty security index. Both of those lines moved.
24A437 on Apple’s list
On developer.apple.com/news/releases, the public rows now read:
- iOS 27.0 — 24A437
- iPadOS 27.0 — 24A437
- macOS 27.0 — 26A428
- tvOS 27.0 — 24J361
- visionOS 27.0 — 24M362
- watchOS 27.0 — 24R364
iOS and iPadOS share 24A437. tvOS moved from the RC’s 24J360 to 24J361. watchOS moved from 24R363 to 24R364. macOS and visionOS kept the RC numbers.
After install, Settings, General, About. The build is in parentheses on the Software Version line.
Security index now has an iOS 27 row
Apple’s security releases page lists iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 for September 14, 2026. The detail page is support.apple.com/en-us/149034. Compatible phones start at iPhone 11 and later. iPad Pro 12.9-inch 4th generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 2nd generation and later, iPad Air 4th generation and later, iPad 9th generation and later, and iPad mini 6th generation and later are on the same row.
MacRumors counted more than 100 fixes on the iOS 27 advisory, including kernel issues that could let a malicious app reach root and a Bluetooth remote code execution path. Apple says none of the flaws were known to be actively exploited when the list went up.
iOS 26.7 for people staying on 26
The same security index lists iOS 26.7 and iPadOS 26.7 on September 14. Apple’s developer releases still show iPadOS 26.7 as 23H24 from September 9. That track is for devices that stay on the 26 line instead of moving to 27.
