Apple’s developer releases feed posted the first iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 betas on September 16. Both list build 24B5084k. Public shipping iOS 27.0 stays on 24A437 from September 14. The seed lands two days after the public day. There is still no iOS 27.1 beta row on the same feed.
Build strings on the September 16 feed
On developer.apple.com/news/releases, the September 16 rows read:

iOS and iPadOS share 24B5084k. After install, open Settings, General, About. The build sits in parentheses on the Software Version line. Matching companion seeds help keep Watch and Vision Pro paired during lab work, but each OS still updates on its own toggle.
How developers pull the seed
Registered developers can install over the air. Settings, General, Software Update, then the iOS 27 Developer Beta track. IPSW files stay on Apple’s developer download page for the matching device. A phone already on the public release can move to the developer channel if the Apple ID is enrolled.
This track is not the public update path. Shoppers who only want the September 14 shipping cut should stay on the story for iOS 27 shipping build 24A437. The earlier public-day note still covers the RC build 24A435 window before that shipping string landed.
Stable stays on 24A437
Phones that remain on the public release keep iOS 27.0 build 24A437. The 27.2 beta is a separate developer channel. It does not replace that shipping build for retail units. Carrier settings and App Store binaries still target the public cut unless a tester opts into the beta profile.
MacRumors notes Apple plans to ship iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1, and that the company may be holding that track closer to Duo. The developer feed itself only confirms the 27.2 beta strings above. It does not list a 27.1 beta row yet. Treat any Duo software claim as secondary until Apple posts that build.
What this means for day-to-day testing
Teams validating Siri AI and Apple Intelligence behavior should treat 24B5084k as a moving seed. Feature flags can differ from the public 27.0 cut. Bug reports should include the full build string, not only “iOS 27.2.”
