JP Morgan’s Sunday note on second-week iPhone 18 Pro lead times is circulating again this week. Global waits jumped hard from week one to week two. The bank says the pace looks hotter than the iPhone 17 Pro cycle at the same point.
Lead time here means average delivery wait Apple and the supply chain show after an order, not a single Apple Store pickup slot.
Week-two waits: Pro 23 days, Pro Max 30
According to the JP Morgan figures summarized by TrustFinance and Investing.com, average global lead time for iPhone 18 Pro rose to 23 days from 7 days in week one. iPhone 18 Pro Max moved to 30 days from 19 days.
Last year’s iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max stretches over the same window were about 9 and 7 days. This year’s week-over-week jump is steeper on both sizes.
United States, Europe, China
The U.S. is roughly 34 percent of iPhone shipments in the note. U.S. lead times sit at 21 days for Pro and 28 days for Pro Max. Germany and the UK show a similar lengthening pattern.
China, about 19 percent of shipments, is still the main market where waits stay below the iPhone 17 series baseline. Even there the gap is closing. China waits are listed at 27 days for Pro and 33 days for Pro Max.

Duo pre-orders on October 16 still cloud the read
JP Morgan flags Apple’s first foldable, iPhone Duo, as the next demand checkpoint. Pre-orders start Friday, October 16, at 5 a.m. Pacific. Availability begins Friday, October 23. Apple lists a $1,999 starting price and a second wave of countries on October 30.
Some Pro buyers may be waiting for that form factor. The bank says a clearer demand signal will also come from supply-chain production revisions, usually around November. It is watching for possible moderation of Pro lead times into week three.
What Apple already shipped vs what the note measures

Duo still runs on its own software track. The foldable ships with iOS 27.1 on October 23, as laid out in the Duo October 23 / Xcode 27.1 simulator note. That split keeps Pro lead times and Duo pre-order heat as two different meters through mid-October.
Apple has not commented on the JP Morgan lead-time table. Carrier and reseller inventories can still beat a long online window in some cities. The analyst note is a demand proxy, not a promise of your personal ship date.
