What to do if you don’t have enough space to install macOS Sonoma

How to free up storage on your Mac:
Clear out your downloads folder
Clear out the junk

Delete old iPhone or iPad backups
Make sure your iPhone or iPad is set to back up to iCloud, then plug the iPhone or iPad into your Mac. Open a Finder window and select the iPhone or iPad in the sidebar. Choose Manage Backups, select the one you want to delete and click Delete.
Move large and old files to another disk
Tip: Use the Large & Old Files module in CleanMyMac X
Delete podcast downloads
System Settings – General – Storage. Click Podcasts. To free up space, click the ‘i’ and choose Open Podcasts. Go to Downloaded and remove downloads you don’t need.
