Apple’s September 14 Newsroom post puts Siri AI in beta in English starting the same day as iOS 27. The next language batch is French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Apple lists those five for next month. No calendar day inside October is on the page.
Where English beta runs
Siri AI is listed for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. It needs an Apple Intelligence-enabled device set to a supported language. On iPhone, Apple Intelligence sits on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 and later, among other listed hardware. The base iOS 27 install still covers iPhone 11 and later. Those are different bars.
What Apple is shipping with it
The Newsroom copy names personal context across messages, email, and photos, onscreen awareness, and more systemwide app actions. There is a dedicated Siri app that syncs conversation history over iCloud. Expressive voices and the stronger on-device dictation path need Apple’s AFM Core Advanced hardware list, which includes iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo, and other named models with enough unified memory.
EU and China carve-outs
Apple says Siri AI will not be available initially in the EU on iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS. Features that rely on Siri AI follow that limit there. China is also held back while Apple works through regulatory requirements. Apple Intelligence itself already supports a longer language list than Siri AI’s first English beta, including Chinese, German, and others for the broader Apple Intelligence set.
