U.S. Apple Store online delivery for a new iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max order is no longer launch week. MacRumors checked the store on Monday, September 14. Every Pro configuration showed September 29 to October 6. Every Pro Max configuration showed October 6 to October 13.
What still ships on September 18
Pre-orders opened Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. Pacific. Early baskets still list Friday, September 18 for delivery. Apple’s own Newsroom still puts availability beginning that Friday. The longer windows apply to orders placed after stock tightened, not to every pre-order from day one.
Pickup and other sellers
Apple Store pickup can still show September 18 on some configs, depending on the store. Carriers and Best Buy are also listed as places that may still have launch-day stock. Online ship dates on apple.com are the ones that slipped first.
Pro Max waits longer than Pro
On the September 14 check, Pro Max sat a full week behind Pro at the far end of each range. That matches earlier tightness on higher-capacity Pro Max units. Inventory can move again before Friday. MacRumors notes both delivery and pickup may keep tightening.
iPhone Duo is on a separate calendar. Pre-orders for Duo start Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. Pacific. Availability for Duo begins October 23 in the first wave of countries.
