Is there any way to get it to totally fill the screen perfectly? Doing the math, it looks like the exact aspect ratio for the M4/M5 11” iPad Pro is 14.5:10. If I paid for BetterDisplay Pro it looks like it would let me set this up as a custom aspect ratio, but you mention the rounded corners will crop it. My question is how come your rounded corners at the top of the screen did not crop it down smaller? This is the look I want, just in all four corners, with the dock sitting nicely along the bottom edge. I guess I can take the 14 day trial for a spin and tinker with it. Also, any issue doing this if I have a Studio Display connected to my Mac permanently? Will BetterDisplay mess with that or keep the virtual screen just for Jump?

Nice tutorial, specially regarding the virtual display with BetterDisplay! I rarely need desktop remote access to macOS, but as I use Tailscale, I have a really-private VPN just with my devices. This means I can activate macOS' built-in Screen Sharing, that uses VNC, so as long as both devices are on the same Tailscale network, I can connect using any VNC viewer/client.
remote desktop is awful, incomparable with Windows PC….

I will mainly use Jump Desktop with the BetterDisplay, but want to know how i can ensure the Mac Mini knows which display to use at the right time?

Great video! I have been using Jump for years with similar success. Having said that, I have noticed a few issues and wonder if you have come across these:
1. Some apps on the mac (Dymo Connect label maker) don’t allow Jump to control text insertion! This is a very odd issue, but if you try to click remotely, it doesn’t register the same as a click from an actual mouse. Consequently, it doesn’t let you edit text in this app!!! I know, it sounds crazy, but I have even connected with a bluetooth mouse from another room and that works fine while viewing through Jump. But the Magic Keyboard touchpad fails to register the same “click” in that app. So weird.
2. Sometimes Jump thinks I have keys held down, like SHIFT or COMMAND. This drives me nuts and I have to disconnect and reconnect.
3. Jump doesn’t pickup on DARK MODE switching, so the virtual keyboard on the ipad can look like white-on-white and you cannot see what is on the keys. Disconnect, reconnect.
I have opened tickets with Jump support on these. They are responsive, but these issues persist. Still, it’s the best thing going, especially since Jump still connects to Windows Remote Desktop as well as plain VNC in addition to Jump hosts. This makes it extremely versatile with other systems, old vintage boxes, raspberry pi, linux etc. etc. I do like Jump for all it does well.

Suggestion: If you're using an iPad 11-inch (M1+ Air or A16), I recommend using the 59:41 ratio instead of 15:10. Jump Desktop zooms out the image with 59:41, but when you zoom in, you don't waste any vertical space. With 15:10, you actually lose vertical space.
Yes, 15:10 may appear better when Jump initially connects, but you'll notice that when you zoom in, you lose horizontal width on the iPad. If you zoom out to fit the width, you always lose vertical space.
I went down a rabbit hole on this because Jump's behavior is confusing. Since the iPad has curved edges, the app plays it conservative and tries to cut pixels at the curved edge. Personally, I'd much rather take full advantage of the iPad screen and sacrifice those sharp corners.
TLDR: use default ratios as per Better Display and zoom in a bit in Jump ipad os app to get full usage of your ipad's screen real estate.
