HTC launches VIVE Eagle round frame model.
HTC today (1st) launched a new round-frame model of its AI smart glasses VIVE Eagle, and simultaneously carried out major software upgrades, including comprehensive enhancements in image shooting, AI interaction, real-time translation and battery life functions, further expanding the application of AI smart glasses in daily life, travel, work and content creation. The new round frame model has a recommended price of 15,600 yuan and is officially launched today.
This time, VIVE Eagle has added three new round-frame shapes: carbon black, brown and blue, and continues the classic square-frame selection. With ZEISS lenses, it provides options such as clear, sunglasses and photochromic lenses, allowing smart glasses to not only have technological functions, but also integrate into daily wear.
Functional upgrades are the focus of this update. VIVE Eagle’s video recording resolution has been increased from 2K to 3K, and features such as slow-motion recording, electronic anti-shake, and AI image optimization have been added, allowing users to directly record travel, sports and life clips from a first-person perspective without taking out their mobile phones. In addition, the new Live Streaming function allows you to share content directly through the perspective of glasses, supporting platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.
AI applications have also been greatly expanded. VIVE Eagle has added real-time translation functions, providing “listening mode” and “conversation mode” to help users understand foreign language content or conduct face-to-face cross-language communication. VIVE AI Notes has been expanded to support 96 languages, integrating recording, verbatim transcripts, speaker recognition and AI summaries, and can be further used in meetings, study and work records.
VIVE Eagle has added a new real-time translation function, providing “listening mode” and “conversation mode”, which can help users understand foreign language content or conduct face-to-face cross-language communication.
In addition, VIVE Eagle has added hands-free functions such as nodding to answer calls and shaking its head to reject calls, and has added French, German and Spanish interfaces. HTC also continues to adopt an open AI architecture, allowing users to choose Google Gemini or OpenAI GPT according to their needs, and emphasizes privacy protection mechanisms such as data encryption, shooting prompts, and wearing detection.
In terms of battery life, VIVE Eagle has a built-in 235mAh battery that supports fast charging and can be charged to 50% in about 10 minutes. This time, a magnetic power bank of only about 8 grams is launched, which can be directly attached to the frame to replenish power.
HTC has also launched VIVE AI Plus and Pro subscription plans, and has cooperated with Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile and Shenao International to expand experience and sales channels. Some designated 5G tariff plans can even be purchased for 0 yuan, thereby accelerating the popularity of AI smart glasses.
