On Sunday, tipster Ice Universe released shocking news that Samsung’s direct-screen flagship Galaxy S27 Ultra phone in the coming year may have major changes in appearance. This blog post indicates that the S27 Ultra may abandon the appearance of external devices.
The design was changed to the rectangular DECO lens group design commonly seen in the market today.
According to pictures displayed on the Weibo account of Ice Universe, the Galaxy S27 Ultra may abandon the 3+2 straight lens design that has been used for many years and switch to the mainstream rectangular DECO lens group appearance in the current market.
Although the “lens position” on the back of the S27 Ultra after the change only has a 2+1 arrangement, the tipster mentioned in another article that the device will still retain the main lens, periscope telephoto and wide-angle lenses, and will remove the 3x telephoto lens group as previously rumored.
Compared with the Galaxy S27, S27+ and the rumored new model Galaxy S27 Pro, leaked CAD drawings show that the signature three-mirror vertical traffic light module design will still be retained, and there will be no “facelift” due to this change.
