This mobile phone has recently passed certification by relevant agencies together with the international versions of Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. According to the latest certification database of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Xiaomi’s new phone model number 2608BPX34C has been approved for sale. The market expects this to be the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 5. In terms of body design, this new model is expected to adopt a wider proportion than the previous generation. The overall shape will be close to the SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Fold8 and iPhone Ultra, and will be equipped with a 7.6-inch diagonal folding screen.
In terms of core specifications, Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 is rumored to be equipped with Xiaomi’s independently developed Xring O3 processor, which is the successor to last year’s Xring O1. In terms of system, the machine is expected to be preloaded with the HyperOS 4 interface developed based on Android 17. The camera and hardware parts have also been upgraded. It is reported that it will be equipped with a 200-megapixel main lens and a 6,000 mAh battery, and will adopt a side fingerprint unlocking design.
In addition to foldable screen phones, Thailand’s NBTC also confirmed certification information for the international version of the Redmi Note 17 series. The model number of the standard Redmi Note 17 is 26081RA18G, while the model number of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is 2609FRA74G. Although NBTC has not disclosed specific specifications, based on previous data from NCC and Eurofins, Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will have a built-in 9,210 mAh battery, support 100W fast charging, and have an IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating. In terms of capacity, it is expected to provide four storage configuration options of 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB in the international market.
As for the international version of Redmi Note 17, the overall specifications are expected to be the same as the Chinese market version. The main difference is that the battery capacity will be adjusted from 8,000 mAh of the Chinese version to 7,700 mAh. According to the news, an 8,000 mAh battery version will be available in the Indian market, and the Redmi Note 17 is also scheduled to be launched in the Indian market on August 6.
