Earlier rumors pointed out that SAMSUNG’s upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro will use a specific 6.47-inch screen feature, leading the market to speculate that it will become a slim-sized “mini version of Ultra”. However, as more specifications leaked, this statement seems to have been overturned. In addition to earlier exposures indicating that the Pro version and Ultra version will have different telephoto lens configurations, the latest news shows that the two will also adopt different strategies in the application of core processors!
According to a report by Korean media “Money Today”, the SAMSUNG Galaxy S27 Pro will be equipped with its own Exynos 2700 processor in most regional markets outside North America. Although the domestic market has usually been allocated a Snapdragon version in the past, there is no further explanation on this point in the report. As for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, which has the highest positioning, it is expected to use the new Snapdragon Elite processor uniformly in the global market. In terms of core performance and hardware specifications, the Galaxy S27 Pro clearly maintains a class distance from the Ultra version.
Regarding this new Exynos 2700 processor, news indicates that it will be produced using Samsung’s SF2P process technology. Compared with the Exynos 2600’s SF2 process, the new technology is expected to reduce power consumption by about 26% and increase clock speed by about 15%. In addition, it is rumored that Samsung will change the traditional design of stacking DRAM on top of the chip this time and adopt a side-by-side layout to connect the DRAM to the processor through a silicon interposer. This new design prevents chip heat from directly penetrating the DRAM before reaching the heat dissipation component, helping to improve overall temperature control performance. Although the preliminary running score data leaked earlier was mediocre, it is understood that this is because the running clock of the test sample is low, and its large core only runs at 2.88GHz. The market expects that the ARM C2 Ultra core equipped with the final version will have a maximum clock speed of 4.2GHz.
As for the standard versions of the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ of the same series, the market expects that these two models will maintain their usual practice of being equipped with Exynos 2700 processors in most markets, and will only provide Snapdragon versions in North America or a few specific regions.
