This year Apple is widely rumored to launch the iPhone Ultra (or iPhone Fold) mobile phone. This may be a new product for the brand to enter the folding screen market. It seems that Apple is full of confidence in it. There is news that the first round of production may be increased to as many as 10 million units.
According to foreign media NIKKEI Asia, citing sources, Apple is requiring the supply chain to produce approximately 10 million iPhone Ultra folding screen phones this year, an increase from the initial estimate of 7 to 8 million units.
If the news is true, it means that Apple is confident in entering the folding screen mobile phone market. At the same time, it seems that the production capacity can be in time to launch the iPhone Ultra on the market in time after the Apple Event in September, without delaying the sale until the end of the year.
Mobile Magazine’s short comment: Considering the recent high memory costs, iPhone Ultra, as the top-end model, may have an entry price of up to US$2,500 (approximately HK$19,610), making it the most luxurious flagship in the series.
