Ziyong Technology’s own brand LaPO found that the WT-08P full-featured wireless charging power bank has a high safety risk of battery expansion, so it issued a voluntary recall and replacement announcement. In addition, Ziyong also reminded consumers that they need to stop using the WT-08P model product immediately before completing the replacement.
Ziyong Technology posted that the WT-08P full-featured wireless charging power bank product will produce “dendrites” after long-term cycles of charging and discharging, which poses a high safety risk of battery expansion. Based on the high emphasis on safety, it has taken high-standard preventive measures and voluntarily recalled this model of product. Ziyong Technology also stated that this recall has nothing to do with whether the product has AC charging pins or functional structural designs such as its own charging cable.
Consumers who hold this product model will be fully replaced with the latest upgraded version of the WT-08S full-featured wireless charging power bank using Japan’s Panasonic battery cells with the highest safety factor in the industry. After the replacement, the 18-month warranty will be recalculated from the date of receipt. Before the replacement is completed, the WT-08P model product must be stopped immediately.

Consumers can send the products back to Ziyong Technology by themselves. In addition, LaPO can arrange for home delivery for recycling. The third option is to deliver the products to a designated authorized store for on-site recycling. The overall operation and shipping time takes about 30 to 60 working days.
