HUAWEI announced the official launch of the developer beta testing program of the HarmonyOS 7 operating system. The first batch of lists covers the brand’s seven flagship smartphones. Through this testing event, developers will be the first to preview and experience various functions of the new generation operating system, as well as deeply integrated AI application capabilities.
Devices participating in this test program include HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro, Mate X7, Mate XTs Ultimate Design, Pura 90 Pro Max, Pura X, Pura X Collector’s Edition, and nova 15 Pro.
Before submitting an application to participate in testing, developers must ensure that the test device in hand has been updated to the specified basic software version. The specific upgrade thresholds for each model are as follows:

HUAWEI officially stated that the development team is currently actively adapting existing devices, and the future Beta test list will gradually expand to more models. However, the specific opening time will vary depending on the development progress and testing stage of individual models.
When the HarmonyOS 7 software is tested and reaches stable operating standards, the manufacturer will open a public beta version (Public Beta) for the above devices. As for the final official version that the general public users are most concerned about, HUAWEI is currently expected to be officially released in the fall of 2026.
