OPPO’s top flagship Find X9 Ultra finally landed in Hong Kong earlier and was launched at a price of $9999. After the launch, there was even a price increase. What is the attraction of this “Ultra” level flagship? This time I will test it with you!
Feel and design: tough fusion of plain leather and metal
This generation of Find X9 Ultra abandons the traditional glass back cover and replaces it with plain leather and aluminum alloy splicing. Although the two-tone design has been cancelled, the metal strip running through the lower half of the fuselage brings a high degree of recognition. The body style tends to be square, with a straight middle frame and front and rear panels. The overall weight is 236g and the thickness is 9.1mm (Canyon Orange version is 8.65mm). Despite its generous weight, it feels quite stable in the hand thanks to the plain leather grip.
▲ In terms of durability, the new phone is equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass and has triple dustproof and waterproof certifications of IP66, IP68 and IP69.

144Hz screen performance: high refresh potential still needs to be optimized
In terms of screen, Find X9 Ultra is equipped with a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 3168. Although the hardware supports a 144Hz refresh rate, in actual experience, the system has many limitations. Daily use is mostly capped at 120Hz, and some applications such as Google Chrome are even limited to 90Hz. As for the 144Hz full-speed experience.
The brightness performance is better than that of the previous generation, with manual mode reaching 840 nits, and in automatic mode triggered by strong light, 10% local peak brightness can reach 3367 nits. This screen supports 10-bit color depth and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, which is more friendly to users with sensitive eyes.
Battery life and performance: 7,050 mAh ultra-large capacity battery
The battery capacity of Find X9 Ultra has jumped significantly to 7,050 mAh. Although it is slightly inferior to the Pro version of the same model, it is already one of the best among flagships of its class. Coupled with the new PowerCore battery management chip, its battery life performance in video streaming and web browsing is very impressive.
The charging speed is maintained at 100W wired and 50W wireless proprietary protocols. According to actual measurements, it takes about 45 minutes to charge from 1% to 100%. Considering its huge battery base, this speed is still ahead of many major rivals. It is worth mentioning that the machine has good support for 55W PD fast charging, and it can achieve good power replenishment efficiency even without using the original charging head.
The core power comes from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, based on the 3nm process and the third-generation Oryon CPU core. The running score data is in line with expectations, and the CPU has excellent stability under high load. Although the GPU has obvious frequency modulation in the stress test, for non-extreme gamers, the daily and image processing performance is completely excessive.
Smart experience: ColorOS 16 and AI applications

ColorOS 16 powered by Android 16 brings a number of AI features. The new “AI Bill Management” can automatically analyze payment screenshots or physical receipts; the “AI Translation Menu” can identify dishes and list ingredients through the camera, which is very suitable for traveling abroad. Although some features still await subsequent OTA updates, OPPO promises to provide 5 years of system upgrades and 6 years of security updates.

As for the main lens, Find X9 Ultra is equipped with Sony’s latest 1/1.12-inch 200MP LYT-901 sensor. Although the pixels are the same as the 3x telephoto, the base is wider.

200-megapixel Hasselblad super outsole main camera
The main lens uses the current top 200 million pixel sensor, with a large sensor area of 1/1.12 inches. Its physical aperture reaches F1.5, and with its huge amount of light, its low-light shooting performance is even said to surpass the traditional 1-inch sensor on the market.
The main camera supports the new “LUMO solidified light imaging system”, which can capture dynamic images in an instant and reduce motion blur.
200-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto lens
This is the first time in the mobile phone industry that 200 million pixels have been used in the telephoto field. The photosensitive element has an area of 1/1.28 inches and an aperture of F2.2. This lens not only provides 3x optical zoom, but also supports 6x in-sensor zoom technology. Compared with the previous generation, its light input volume is significantly increased by 136%. With the “second generation Danxia color restoration technology”, it can take professional portraits with extremely delicate light and shadow levels.
50-megapixel 10x “Sky Eye” periscope lens
This 10x telephoto lens is the soul of this generation, with a focal length of approximately 230mm. OPPO has successfully refined the optical structure of the originally bulky external teleconverter and embedded it into the mobile phone, supporting up to 20x optical quality zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. This provides the strongest physical optical resolution in the mobile phone industry for outdoor photography, concert photography or long-distance architectural photography.
50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens
The ultra-wide-angle lens has also been upgraded, using a high-quality 50MP sensor. After its optical design is optimized, the amount of light input has increased by 56% compared with the previous generation. When shooting vast landscapes or buildings, it can effectively suppress edge distortion and maintain consistent color performance.
Professional functions and technology integration
- 8K video recording at all focal lengths: This is the first flagship that allows all lenses from wide angle to super telephoto to support 8K high-definition video recording, enabling truly professional-level image creation.
- Hasselblad Master Mode: In-depth cooperation with Hasselblad introduces more accurate color science and light and shadow algorithms, giving photos the texture of a Hasselblad medium format camera.
- Selfie lens: The front is equipped with a 50-megapixel lens (other information refers to 32MP IMX615), which supports an 81-degree wide angle to ensure the clarity of selfies and video calls.
This five-camera system completes the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle of the full-focal range of mobile imaging, especially the strong return of 10x optical zoom, making Find X9 Ultra one of the most powerful telephoto imaging flagships on the market. The Hong Kong version of OPPO Find X9 Ultra will be available in brown and orange models, priced at $9,999 (12+512) and $11,999 (16+1TB) respectively, which is very attractive compared to the national bank price.
