DJI today announced the official launch of its new portable outdoor power supply DJI Power 1000 Mini in Hong Kong. For outdoor power needs such as camping, self-driving tours, and film and television creation, the new machine provides a battery capacity of up to 1 kWh in a compact size of 12 liters. The suggested retail price of DJI Power 1000 Mini in Hong Kong is $3,899, and it is available at DJI online stores, specialty stores, and major offline authorized experience stores from now on.
In terms of specifications, DJI Power 1000 Mini provides 1000W stable output power and supports driving some 1200W home appliances. Battery life and safety are the focus of outdoor power supplies. The new machine uses lithium iron phosphate batteries and has passed the puncture test. Official data shows that the battery capacity can still maintain about 80% after 4,000 charge and discharge cycles. The fuselage structure is designed with a static pressure load-bearing capacity of up to 1 ton, and a new glue filling process is used internally to protect the inverter, supporting operation at a maximum altitude of 5,000 meters and in outdoor environments such as rain and condensation.
The charging performance and interface design have also been updated. In the mains fast charging mode, DJI Power 1000 Mini can charge from zero to full power in as little as 75 minutes. Unlike in the past where additional adapters were required, the current generation fuselage has built-in 400-watt driving charging and MPPT solar charging modules, which can be directly connected to replenish power. In addition, the body is equipped with a practical 100W USB-C retractable cable, which supports one-pull and automatic rebound. The length is up to 0.8 meters, which is convenient for fast charging of mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets. Its modular design also supports future replacement.
As a product of the DJI ecosystem, the new aircraft is equipped with an SDC port, and when used with the DJI Power drone fast charging cable, it can provide super fast charging functions for designated aerial cameras. For example, it only takes 30 minutes to charge the Air 3 aerial camera battery from 10% to 95%, shortening the waiting time for outdoor shooting. In terms of software operation, users can remotely check the power supply temperature, operating status and control the port switch through the new DJI Home APP. Together with the built-in BMS smart battery management system, UPS uninterruptible power supply and LED lighting functions, it provides users with a complete and safe mobile energy storage solution.
