In order to expand the capabilities of Gemini AI, Google today announced the launch of the “Gemini Intelligence” system on the Android system. Through the combination of software and hardware, AI can actively assist users in completing tasks, bringing a stronger application method than the simple question-and-answer Gemini.
Users can think of Gemini Intelligence as Apple Intelligence, a new generation intelligent system based on Android devices that provides richer AI functions. Google said Gemini Intelligence is expected to be launched on new Galaxy S and Pixel phones this summer, and will be rolled out to more Android watches, cars, glasses and even laptops.
Through Gemini Intelligence, the device can “automatically perform multi-step tasks across apps”, such as proactively booking exercise classes according to user habits; or automatically adding required reference books to the shopping cart based on course outlines received via Gmail; or adding the shopping list in the Notes App to the shopping cart in one second; taking a photo of a scenic spot, and asking Gemini to find the relevant itinerary on the travel platform and make a reservation on your behalf. Gemini will complete a set of instructions in the background, and the user will be asked to conduct final inspection and confirmation before placing the final order.
The “Autofill” of browsers and apps will also become smarter due to Gemini Intelligence. When filling in complex forms through Chrome, Gemini can automatically identify the data in each field through personal intelligence (Personal Intelligence) and enter the appropriate information for the user. Chrome can help research or summarize web information, and supports the Auto Browse function, allowing Gemini to make simple tasks such as medical appointments and restaurant appointments; Gboard The keyboard will have a smarter voice-to-text function called Rambler, which will automatically correct redundant words, turn spoken words into concise text messages, and even assist in inputting emoticons to make text more warm.
The Android system will also have “customized desktop gadgets” that allow users to describe the desired tool content through natural language, let AI automatically generate it, and let the system customize it for you.
