With the official release of the Google Fitbit Air smart bracelet, Google simultaneously launched the Google Health App and Google Health Coach subscription services to take care of users’ health through the Gemini model.
Google Health and Google Health Coach are basically renamed from Fitbit, so they generally use the same functions. For example, in the Google Health App, users can detect physiological data through wearable devices such as Fitbit or Pixel Watch to quickly learn their current physical conditions. It also supports hundreds of apps and devices to help import more data to Google Health for unified viewing, including Apple’s Apple Health, and well-known third-party services Peloton and MyFitnessPal.
This upgrade is to join the Google Health Coach subscription service created by Gemini. Through in-depth analysis of the user’s personal data by AI, the user can act as a fitness coach, sleep expert and health consultant at the same time, assisting the user to manage their health in an all-round way. For example, the AI will obtain the user’s specific goals, daily routine, and available fitness equipment through a relaxed conversation at the beginning, thereby creating a customized guidance menu, or help improve sleep quality, and even import medical records, so that the AI can provide easy-to-understand summary highlights.
Currently, Google Health is a free download. As long as you use a Fitbit wearable device or Pixel Watch, you will be required to use it to record basic body data. Google Health Coach is a paid subscription service, which will be gradually launched from May 19. The monthly fee is 149 yuan and the annual fee is 1,490 yuan. Users who have subscribed to the Google One AI Pro and Ultra plans will be able to experience it for free.
