Let’s rip and archive your CD collection using macOS software! We will extract the audio from your CD’s using a lossless, error checking method, and save to FLAC format. Then we will quickly and efficiently organize these FLAC files on your large storage system. The program we use to organize will also easily tag the files and download the album art for you! We will focus on macOS’ XLD but these principles apply also to Windows 10/11 using Exact Audio Copy (EAC)

Hi mate XLD is not finding my Cd but itunes is and it's there on the desktop… when i try to open Audio Cd in the menu it says "Audio cd not found" but below it there is the option "refresh list" this takes me to ITunes which has read the Cd and has all the info …. what is the problem here? 😏 cheers

After ripping CDs using Apple iTunes and choosing WAV format, the digital files have a lower sound than some of my other FLAC files I have obtained. Do you know reason why?
Thank you! We just emptied and quit our storage unit, and got back all of our CD collection, which is massive. We’re fed up with streaming and want to enjoy everything that isn’t necessarily available via streaming. We’re going to digitize our collection and get a NAS.
XLD is prevented from starting on my Macbook. Sorry.

Hi!When it comes to Dj mixes can I rip a cd as a 1 track continuous mix and not individual tracks?
New Mac user here, I recently purchased a Mac Mini to use as a music server and occasional photo editing center. When using my windows computer to rip cds it really didn’t require all of these steps and the rip files turned out great with all the sound and artwork. Would I be better off just ripping all of my CDs on my Windows computer and transferring the files over via thumb drive or portable hard drive? Or would the files be incompatible? Thanks for any information, always found Windows computers much easier to use so never really bothered with any Mac computers but I like the built in security of the Mac OS.

I know this is great info for ripping music but what about burning to disc? Is it important to use XLD for burning or is iTunes good for at least making a Disc copy by burning? XLD has certain limits, like when trying to make a mixed CD.

Can you do it on a MacBook pro?
so I downloaded and used xld the other day on my MacBook, ripped an album completely fine. yet tonight when I decide I'm gonna rip some more xld will open but there is no window? I've restarted, redownloaded, I'm not the most tech savvy. I'm really tired and frustrated id really appreciate if anyone here had any ideas on how id get this working again lol. I was only able to rip one single album
