This was not the upload I planned today, however I wanted to get this information out on how to downgrade the iPad 8th generation back to iPadOS 18! This may not work for much longer, so I would recommend doing it as soon as possible if you want iPadOS 18 back. Note that you won’t be able to restore an iPadOS 26 backup after doing this, so be sure to manually back up anything important. Also sign out of iCloud before doing this.
Honestly, iPadOS 26 is a lot slower on this iPad, and it won’t be getting the iPadOS 27 update which did add performance improvements. Also I have the 32GB model iPad 8, so downgrading it was a great option in my case. Do you have an iPad 8 and want to do this? Feel free to comment down below!

8/14 Update: Thanks to those who have confirmed, it looks like Apple did patch this by removing the link from the website and unsigning the IPSW, so it can no longer be restored. For those who were able to restore it, congrats! Sorry to those who were unable to. This video can now serve as a time Apple messed up, which they rarely do!
