The reason you cant game on mac os is capitalism. They dont want everyone buying a mac and fir it to be the obvious choice when choosing a laptop. They want windows computers to sell aswell. Mac would be the future of computers if you could do literally everything on them including play any game on steam.
I switched to macos recently and with lies of p, hades, deltarune, and other games beign native the gaming experience has been great, also shotout to astris swith emulator, however I'll may build a pc next year bc I miss playing l4d2, tf2 and the RE games I own in steam and crossover doesn't seem like a good option for me

Honestly Sikarugir supports so many more games, it's actually really good. E.g. I could play Anno 1800 with 60fps and effectively 0 issues. If you told me 10 years ago that Wine on a mac can run latest (I don't recognise Anno 117) Anno game with 60fps at full resolution and have effectively no issues I wouldn't believe you
Isn’t this in 2k? That’s really good for an M1 Max at 1440p, 75fps+ is smooth then

A Switch 2 + Mac gaming with Crossover for games like Deadlock, plus the native games has been more than enough

I just started going to college and my macbook pro M3 (base) is extremely powerful. Its so powerful in fact that its 3x faster in opening some applications and doing work in them than my 2000€ computer. I game a lot so not being able to play a lot of games is a big bummer but fuck is it ever fast in vsc or rider.. 😂
