In this video, I will show MacBook users how to install VMware Fusion, create a Windows 11 virtual machine, and then install Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) inside Windows.
Since SQL Server Management Studio is a Windows application, Mac users who want the complete Microsoft SQL Server learning environment can create a Windows VM using VMware Fusion and practice almost exactly like they would on a Windows laptop.
📌 What We Will Cover
Download VMware Fusion for macOS.
Install VMware Fusion on your MacBook.
Create a Windows 11 Virtual Machine.
Configure CPU, RAM, storage, and networking for the VM.
Complete the Windows 11 installation.
Install VMware Tools.
Download Microsoft SQL Server 2025.
Install SQL Server Developer Edition.
Download and install SQL Server Management Studio 22.
Connect SSMS to the local SQL Server instance.
