I am considering buying it because I want to start producing music, I am totally new in this world. Do you recommend it to get familiar with Lógic Pro?
Is 128Gb ok for simple projects? How much space do these projects take? does it work with the external hard-drives? can you record straight to the external hdd?
I have really good speaker monitors that I plug into my Interface but I also connect my iMac via trs headphone jack. Unfortunately the iPad no longer comes with a headphone jack. The usb-c to female trs get bad reviews on Amazon. How do you plug your speakers or use headphones with your iPad? Thanks, Ric

I've been looking through your (always excellent) videos to see if you've done a review on a really awesome iOS DAW I discovered last night that seemed PERFECT for my needs.
I have been making some 'practice tracks' for my duo (2 x vox, 2 x acoustic guitars… sometimes a stomp box for the rockier stuff) using GarbageBand and a Scarlett 4i4. I've been finding GarbageBand really 'clunky' – and not at ALL intuitive. (Unusual for an Apple product)
Anyway, after watching a LOT of videos last night, and that fountain of all knowledge – Reddit, I was about to pull the trigger on a copy of Auria ($39AUD – not the pro version) when I stumbled across 'Audio Evolution Mobile Studio'. It only costs $20 Australian dollars, which is about $3.50 US 😉 and not only is it perfect for my needs, it's WAAAY simpler to use than GarbageBand. AND way more powerful.
I can't see anything about it on your channel and I'd be interested to see you do a review video on it. (Yes, I bought it. No, I'm not affiliated.)

is not the specs the mains issue .. the main issue is plugin companies like arturia , native instruments, uhe , universal audio , waves , uvi , ujam , who are not making ios version of their plugins … like why there is not a massive ios version or kontakt ? this is the biggest drawback i can't right now move from mac os .. not to talk about daws .. the only one is logic for ipad and cubasis .. you don't have ableton ..
Ngl the price for the M3 Air 11” 256GB variant is very tempting as my first iPad. I’m thinking of doing not-pro-level video editing and music making (DaVinci Resolve/InShot and Logic Pro) and your video answered them. Thx a lot fam 🫸🏽🫷🏽
Totally agree! The M3 iPad Air hits that bang for buck sweet spot for sure. Feel the very same way about the 13" M4 MacBook Air.

The iPads are so powerful these days and marred by iPadOS. I wish these guys could dual boot or flip OSes when a keyboard /mouse was attached

Actually the M4 iPad Pro 13” is the best iPad for musicians. All other iPad’s are a compromise based on price.
Have you ever heard of anyone getting random static on high gain amps from amplitude on the garageband app? Only amplitube plugins make a static sound almost like it if were a fan spinning and you hear it then it fades away and back nonstop
Looks like they upped the processor again. I have a 2024 13" Air M2 and it's great. Most reviewers criticized the poor screen quality compared to the Pro, which you don't mention. I've never found the image quality lacking. But the speakers were a step down from the iPad Pro I'd been using. That does bother me. Really, that's the only complaint I've had.

I have the iPad Pro 2020 and sometimes I wonder if the 13 inch iPad Air would be good what do you think ? And on the flip side I wonder if the iPad mini would be good for everyday carry if I wanna work on garage band on the go because it would always be with me. But then my iPad is plenty good right now but I feel like sometimes it’s too big to bring around sometimes i wonder if I need a bigger screen any thoughts ? What iPad are you using these days ?
