While I have a keyboard attached almost all the time, since 26.2, I use my finger to drag apps into slide-over all the time. I also drag apps into the right or left side of my current desktop. I drag to replace the current slide-over app with another — or place windows on top of an app in split-screen.. Flicking gestures work fine as well to rearrange apps. You can drag apps from the dock, home screen, and the dock onto the screen. I think that misunderstanding how this all works, and works very well, is the source of some of the resistance to the new multitasking and particularly slide-over.
Hi! This might be useful but for Slide Over, 3:32 you can drag an app from the dock or Spotlight search to an arrow at the right side of the screen. Hope this helps!
I want to throw apple's designers OUT OF A WINDOW for ditching the old split view mode, it's what I used and it's what I Loved. I cannot STAND this GARBAGE windowing mode when using it as a tablet, and Single mode is way too fucking restrictive.
I loved the quick notes feature but it’s so buggy in os26, i hope they fix it.

So still no more Slide Overs Stacks..! This was the best tool Apple IOS they ditched it for ever! This was the last before it the 18.7.3 where Apple they automatically send these better Slide Overs in the garbage can 🚮 😢 !

The iPad 4th generation cannot be updated to iPadOS 27, It is a much older device whose software updates are limited 😢😢
Speaking of iPad Apps. Google doesn’t even allow multiple sheets or docs. Really wishing they would because that’s what we use for work. (Also, I’ve tried erasing the apps and using the browser. It’s still not the same)

Only small incremental changes that most users won’t notice. My verdict so far. I won’t update my M2 with 26. I never use Siri, 3rd party AI is a lot better.

Literally just let users install Mac OS rather than this ridiculous slow drip of Mac OS-like UI/UX. Apple built a MacBook with Mac OS based on old iPhone hardware, but won't let you install Mac OS on your exponentially more powerful iPad…

Not sure how it works for MS apps on iPadOS, but many companies don't update their apps for a new iPadOS version until after that iPadOS version is officially released to the public, which makes sense. Betas don't count.
It's weird how you continue to try and force MacOS functionality into iPadOS.
As always, love all you content. There are always going to be bugs in a beta release, but how serious are the issues in iOS 27? I just want to make sure it’s not extremely glitchy before I install it. Thanks!

Very informative video! I kinda wish Apple would allow us to customize Siri, so we could personalize her. What I mean is, changing name, gender, personality (kind of), preferences and more. But I already happy that Apple made her 200% more powerful and useful compared to the old Siri

I just checked out a few iPads in the store today. The base is not bad in person. The Air is nice and the Pro is just overkill. I need to get hands on with a mini 7 but so far I’m leaning toward the Air 11 inch with cellular.
You need to add a Bluetooth mouse – especially for the external monitor set-up. A huge improvement over using the trackpad.
Hi Tech Dad ! Thank you for the feedback ! 27 looks promising so far. I just disagree with you on touch controls for windowing. It is pretty neat now with the appearing arrows on both sides. It is more tricky than before but works well. And you can use slide over by dragging the app on the arrow without using traffic lights 🙂
Thinking about it, that Liquid Glass slider is the wrong way round. Usually, dragging to the right increases and dragging to the left decreases.
I came across a post online saying that you can now use Control Center on an external monitor. Could you highlight this feature in your next video? I think it would be really helpful for viewers who want to learn more about this functionality.
Well, you probably will have to go back to laptop, bc of Claude code. Silly to work nowadays without it.
