Apple is going from watchOS 11 all the way up to 26. They’re unifying their phone operating systems, iOS, their computer operating system, macOS, iPadOS and even VisionOS which is the operating system for their crazy VR headset to correlate with the upcoming calendar year.

  1. I get tired of the battery issue , is 2 day not enough for most of us
Or are you going for a week to the woods 😂
A marathon or a trail , the Apple ultra will manage .

  2. #1 issue Apple hasn’t solved yet is touch free usage. Coros does it really well with a dial. If Apple were to get it right I might consider swapping from Garmin.

  3. I just got the Series 10 watch and one of the first things I noticed was that the heart rate reading was consistently inaccurate on the low side. I checked it out to learn all about how the watch accomplishes the heart rate readout which is an optical pulse sensor that sample periodically. A blood pressure cuff on the other hand measures by an oscillometric method, measuring arterial wall oscillations. This is not a deal breaker in the overall larger scheme of things with where Apple is going with this technology but something to be aware of. The current Photoplethysmography (PPG) Sensors on the back side of the watch can do what they can do within their engineering limitations.

This is a nice presentation Matt. Good job.

  4. Th focus on messages app is only relevant in the USA. th majority of users outside US use WhatsApp or similar messaging service, Even providers are cutting down sms support of data

  5. First of all I was sad, because you mentioned that for 'workout buddy' an iPhone with Apple Intelligence is required, what I don't have. But then someone mentioned in the comments that you need to have your phone with you when you want to use this 'workout buddy'. Why the hell they are doing this? I have an Apple Watch with LTE that I don't have to bring my phone while I am working out. So this just feels wrong. Who will bring his phone during a run just to have this? I don't get it.

  6. I was really hoping for some improvement in the workout app. Specifically incorporating a status bar feature for interval training instead of just numbers and constant vibrations. But more importantly adding numerical data to the training load graph.

  7. I’m still waiting for Apple to fix basic functionality in the watch. The workout app lacks any settings, so currently when I ride my bike I get a notification for a segment only once in 5 km. So in a 9 km ride I will get notification only once. In my old Garmin and Samsung watches I could set notification intervals by any distance or time. Another problem is that I don’t get a warning for heart rate out of zone, like in the Garmin and Samsung.

  8. Thinking of upgrading to the Ultra in September, how has the black colour stood up in regard to durability?

  9. I mean there is a lot of little things that’s okay in watchOS 26 but nothing really groundbreaking that would be a must have or can’t live without.

  10. I’m unable to roam/interenational with my cellular Ultra. 2 so for me any development of this device until this is sorted out, Also, if they have emergency satellite connectivity for calls/text i’m assuming that this also will only be available in the host country.

  11. I’m more than positive for the people who don’t like the liquid glass YOU ARE ABLE TO DISABLE IT 😅

Anyhow- I’m excited for this update! Looks interesting though as you mentioned, not a total redo to where you’re lost trying to figure everything out 🙂
    Cool video! Thanks!😊

  12. I switched to garmin a few months ago and was actually a bit worried this WWDC would tempt me back to Apple Watch. Nope. No sleep score? Body battery? New fitness metrics? Better sleep tracking? Nada? Geez

  13. As long as apple keeps pushing the Apple Watch being a mini “computer” on your wrist, they will never increase battery life. Incredibly disappointing
