for the hotspot part, its possible just like the apple ecosystem where u pair ur phone and windows laptop with link to windows, ur wifi options will show ur phone on the list and u can choose to activate ur phones hotspot, it still has little improvement but that feature is still there. And there is also the option where u can tap both phones tops head towards each other and it shares whatever u chose to, although i think its not there for every oppo version, but most do have it

why ecosystem is that matter? Ecosystem integration is a trap. Once you got into it, you will never see other system or ecosystem advantage as you will always revert back to "oh I can't do this as easy as in my current ecosystem". Yeah of course, you can't compare a whole new ecosystem in a week with your current ecosystem you used years or decades..
It wouldn't be an issue for me because I’ve never used any Apple products in my life. lol. I have an Oppo phone, a Windows computer, and a Huawei watch, and they all work well together.🤣🤣🤣

I gave up on iphone when discovering there is no back button, no navigation buttons whatsoever in fact. You literally cannot go back and you cannot even close all open apps at once.. and don't even get me started on trying to find your files.
Garmin is one of the best and accruate warches ive used to track calories burned and is tested to be times better than apple
I think if anything this highlight the failure of governments to stop apple becoming a monopoly. If you could have used your apple watch and air pods with your android phone things might have ended differently.
I keep switching back and forth. The iPhone has some benefits but it's been so buggy I've switched back to Android with Pixel 11p

Unfortunately, you're not very well-informed, and you don't really have a choice—go with the Pixel Watch or Garmin. The system looks outdated, but it's actually very good.
One thing: on Android devices, it's no problem to use two pairs of headphones on one device—I just watched a movie with my daughter on the train.
integration is an interesting thing. All or nothing on either android or iOS. Until, they introduce universal cross platform integration, it will be a pipe dream for silky smoothness. No incentives to manufactures.
Google fit has been nice. Maybe the Pixel efforts by Google is creating the ecosystem?

what i dont think anyone realizes is its not the hardware whn it comes to android, they all rely on one thing. AI enhancements, iphone doesnt really use ai for anything while most androids in the last 2-3 years have only "caught up to apple" thanks to ai, if it was based of real hardware apple would be the only one left

Well for me the switch was relatively easy, iPhone to google pixel, iCloud to google drive, and that's it, it actually made it easier for me to transfer from Google pixel to Microsoft windows PC. The reason why I switched is not because I don't like iPhone, I was just bored with the same design. I have to say there is hardly any difference, the biggest difference is probably the app themselves, the quality of app in appstore and google play is just different, it is still better in iPhone. Apart from that it's all the same for day to day usage, if you like apple go with apple products, MacBook is still my favorite laptop, if you like windows go with android products, simple.

I’ve been thinking about switching from Apple to Android for weeks now because not much has changed at Apple in recent years, and I just feel like I’m being taken for a ride.

I’m currently looking into what would make the most Sense, I’ve found the Oppo X9 Ultra and the Vivo X300 Ultra. But I don’t think the switch will be easy…
I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, Watch Ultra 3, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, AirPods Pro, Apple TV, and AirTags…
The plan is to ditch the iPhone and the Apple Watch. Then the AirTags won’t work anymore either.
Still, I’m feeling overwhelmed 😢
I do not think it is as hard as you put it to be (MacBook, S23U, Watch8 Classic, Apple TV) There certainly are quality of life features like universal copy to clipboard (I invented the name), quick file transfer, auto headphone switching and auto hot-spot, but these are features that only save you a few seconds if you know how to get around it:
For big file transfers, use a type C cable which would be faster than any wireless transfer option, we all probably carry a type C nowadays given that it nearly charges every gadget (even your power bank cord would do). For auto hot-spot, open it manually from your phone, and your Mac or other devices would start using it automatically anyway if you have used it once, for the copy and clipboard. I sadly have no recommendations and it is a neat feature to lose, but unless you are copying an ultra long string of characters, you can write the thing you are copying yourself.
To say, of course if I was using the Apple ecosystem to it's full for years and tried to switch to something else, it would feel frustrating for me to work as well. But in the end you must have a reason to work through these lines, for me it is freedom (shut up): I do not want to be locked into any particular company's system where the company can choose to control your data, and even control you. That could be Google on Android, Apple on Apple, Samsung on Samsung, the company may be trustworthy for the time you use it, but any board of goon-… sorry investors could choose to track user's data for monetary purposes. And the best way to prevent this, is to scatter your necessary information out along multiple services.

The Android equivalent of 'Air Drop' is 'Quick Share' which works with other Androids and MS PC's. I doubt the Apple eco system would allow access to this Android app. What you've proved is how well the Apple Eco System has captured you.

I use bracelet watches for fashion – none of these x tra watches – amd again you can come up North Canada and unless good job food insecurity for 25 percent of population- no need for all these gatdgets; people not eating except a meal once a day or every 2 days cause of no job or addiction etc;

i honestly dont know why apple dont just release the watch app and allow it to be paired, just make it to where they have to use apples website to get the app, do a collab with android and it would give them alot of customers. im a samsung guy all the way and never liked apples restriction like you can only use whats on there app store instead of having the freedom of making your own app and having a APK to install it. terms of cameras just need to use advanced and edit it to your liking, the look of the photos can be increades really well once you do it
