   stage light and flex gate (screen turns off at certain angles)

   What if you have stage lights on an older MacBook? Like the mid 2010 white unibody MacBook.

   Mine literally only works at 45 degree angle then anywhere past it screen shuts off but computer still works

   Just noticed stage light on my MacBook Pro 13 2020 A2251 after 3 years of use. It seems that Apple did not resolve the issue and all Touch Bar MacBooks are affected, not just the early models.

    I'm having the exact same issue and the camera is out. I ran the diagnostics and it didn't find any issues with the laptop.

    I bought a brand new Macbook Pro A2289 Intel i5 version from an Apple store in Aug. 2020. In 2023 sometime January it happened. Stagelights. I went to Apple here and they wanted to replace the whole LCD display which was a third of the price of the whole laptop. Frustrating!

    this happened to my macbook, and then the day after it just turned black. I doesnt work aynmore, it does turn on tho, but there is no light at all, just a black screen

    You don't say how much the overall repair would cost.

    I have it on MacBook Pro 2016 15". Apple recalled the 13" model. You would think having invested this money in a top product like this, they would hold their value, with these kind of faults. You trust they will have your back. not in this case,

    Same problem with my MacBook Pro 2019 Intel i5 version. Started three months ago, keeps on getting worse.

    A1989 model from 2018 has the same problem. Apple didn't do anything about it. They offered me a repair for more than the machine is worth

    Hi I had the same issue on my MacBook Pro from 2016, 13 inch with the Touch Bar I don’t really know much about tech like this. I had these stage lights for maybe a month then today I was doing some work on it then closed it to get some food came back and now my screen has almost gone completely black and I can barely see anything on it, but when I put a flashlight to the screen I can see somewhat better what’s on the screen, what do I do now

    So when the computer goes in for a new screen, are they putting in longer cables to fix the problem, or is the same thing going to happen 12 months down the track ?

    Hi I’m having an issue (my screen starts flickering when it gets too hot) and i was wondering if using your macbook with an external display is possible? i haven’t tried yet but would this work? i don’t care if i ruin my macbook screen when doing this and letting it heat up till if completely melts the display port…can i just use this set up ?
