COD warzone is so unoptimized now, you probably couldn’t get the same results
I was planning on upgrading my 13 to a 16 Pro however I think I’ll just keep it and wait for a Switch 2 given that the iPhone AppStore is still underwhelming in regards to AAA titles.
Tests are invalid. FPS is kept at parity by changing res and configuration of the games such as texture size, shades and etc.
Is the Samsung S25 Ultra or iPhone 16 Pro Max better for gaming?
I think they cared about that camera button more than the thermals, lol. I hope they fix the thermals on the 17 series. Even if it doesn’t thermal throttle, I don’t think it’s ever ideal to game on a phone if it’s running too hot. It will eventually deteriorate the battery health a lot faster. Thankfully, my iPhone 15 Pro Max still has 100% maximum capacity because I don’t let it get too hot too often. Some days of the month, it does get hot especially when I record long 4K video.

I don’t understand why Apple offers the nice vibrant colors on the lower to your phones, but people who are willing to throw a couple hundred extra dollars get these really boring bland color options

You probably don’t know this but, Genshin Inpact has gamepad support on iPhone, after you unlock your second wind power in the beginning of the game. All you need to do is go to controls and switch the touch screen to controller.

Hey I just got a Backbone and I was eager to play Death Stranding on my iPhone 16 Pro, but I was pretty worried because I heard the game had serious framerate drops and caused massive heat issues on iPhone 15 and 15 pro and damage the batteries.
Can you tell me how does it perform, and if it’s “safer” to play on 16 pro?
Since Death Stranding is a pretty long game I was wondering whether I could play for an extended period of time, like over 2 hours with the battery cable attached😅

I think it would’ve been more interesting if you had compared the performance of AAA games like Assassin Creed Mirage and other resident evil games instead of the F2P that use toxic monetization schemes. It is the premium games that have the potential to make the iPhone a portable console.
Be cool if Dynamic Island was used in gaming better like holding it or tapping it in a game opens a menu or can be set up as a shortcut for something in game. Just be nice to see it incorporated with the game better.

My first smartphone was an HTC Windows Mobile, my first Apple device was an iPhone 3GS and hated it, went full Android for years after that.
iPhone 13 was my reintroduction to Apple devices after my Galaxy S10 battery died for no reason, I'm now switching to a 256Gb iPhone 16 mostly for USB-C and storage upgrade. Man, I really love the iOS experience !
EDIT : I'm gonna keep that baby for years ! At LEAST until it doesn't receive updates anymore.

A18 pro is around 2.6 teraflops of GPU performance. so no its not even close to ps5 pro
its closer to ps4 slim.
A18's memory bandwidth is 60GB/s. for comparison ps4's memory bandwidth is 176GB/s even if they have the same 8GB unified memory the faster speed of ps4's memory pool allows for higher graphics detail.
however A18 matching a ps4 slim is still impressive considering its a 5-10w chip that runs of a battery.

I think my red magic 9 is next level for gaming, 120 hz and plays Mario Oddyseey at 70 fps consistently even games like Zelda Breath of Wild and 3d world
