IT House reported on September 16 that on September 8, Apple held a new product launch conference and officially released the iPhone 14 series of mobile phones, starting at 5,999 yuan.
Prior to this, Korean media reported that the Chinese manufacturer Yangtze Memory has entered the Apple supply chain and will supply the iPhone 14 series of NAND flash memory. Later, Apple also admitted that it was considering purchasing NAND chips from YMTC, but it would only be used for some iPhones sold in China.
Before the iPhone 14 series, Apple highly relied on Korean memory chip manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Therefore, market watchers believe that Apple’s cooperation with YMTC will further diversify their suppliers of NAND flash memory, while also helping to reduce the price of this important component.
With the release of Apple’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro series and the launch of sales, most of the first orders have been delivered to customers, and even now bloggers have released a teardown video of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Several dismantling bloggers have confirmed that the national models of Apple’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro series all use NAND flash memory provided by YMTC. According to feedback from netizens, it seems that some models use NAND from other manufacturers. It seems that Apple’s supply chain is still diversified.
IT House learned that the official out-of-warranty repair price of Apple’s iPhone 14 / Pro series has been released. Due to the separate disassembly, the repair price of the glass back of the iPhone 14 series is much cheaper than that of the iPhone 14 Pro series.
