Apple will start iPhone Duo pre-orders at 5:00 a.m. PT on October 16. The release date is October 23. That is about five weeks after iPhone 18 Pro, which arrives in stores on September 18.

Apple calls Duo the first foldable iPhone. When it is opened, Apple says it is the thinnest iPhone and has the largest display so far, about 50% larger than iPhone 18 Pro Max. The frame and the hinge cover are titanium. Colors on the page are Star White and Night Sky.
Unlocking uses Touch ID in the power button. Face ID is not used. Apple Pencil (USB-C) is listed as compatible, but the schedule is only “later this year.” A month is not written.
Specs that are still missing
Apple has not published a fold-cycle rating or a hinge durability number. Other foldable phones usually put this on the spec sheet. Battery capacity in mAh and the RAM amount are also not listed. This has not changed since the announcement on September 9.
Apple has not said these numbers will stay hidden. A support page or spec update could still appear before October 16.
Relation to this week’s Pro pre-orders
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max can already be reserved. iPhone Duo cannot. If the hinge rating or the Apple Pencil date matters, there is time to wait. If the goal is a Pro Max 256GB, shipping has already moved into October.
