Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on Saturday, September 12. Sales begin on Friday, September 18. But as of Saturday night, a large number of Pro Max configurations had already slipped past launch week.
iPhone 18 Pro shipping is mostly unchanged
On the regular iPhone 18 Pro, Glacier, Black and Silver still show September 18 delivery in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. Only Burgundy moved. 256GB and 512GB Burgundy are now September 24-29. 1TB and 2TB Burgundy are still September 18.
256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max is almost gone
All four colors of the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max (Burgundy, Glacier, Black, Silver) are listed as October 6-13. Burgundy is delayed at 512GB and 1TB as well. Glacier 512GB and Silver 512GB also went to October 6-13. Black 512GB is September 24-29.
2TB is different. Every color of both iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in 2TB was still September 18 on Saturday evening.
About these dates
The dates are estimated delivery from Apple’s U.S. online store. Apple Store pickup is not included, and inventory at carriers can be different.
Pre-orders opened on Saturday this year instead of Friday, to avoid September 11. The foldable iPhone Duo cannot be reserved until October 16. It goes on sale October 23. Some buyers may be waiting for Duo and did not order a Pro yet.
