However, there is disagreement among leakers and sources as to whether the excluded color is silver or dark gray.
A new image of the SIM card tray was posted on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting three new colors: dark cherry, light blue, and silver.
Two leakers have different predictions
The person who posted on the Chinese social networking site Weibo that there is a possibility that Silver will not be included in the lineup was leaker Mr. Dingjio Suqi. He was quick to point out before the announcement that the official name of the model rumored to be iPhone SE (4th generation) would be “iPhone16e.”
According to the latest predictions from Mr. Kazuho, the iPhone 18 Pro series will come in three colors: dark cherry, light blue, and black, and silver will not be available.
In response, Sonny Dixon, who was the first to post a mockup of the iPhone 16 Pro series body color “Desert Titanium,” posted an image of a SIM card tray for the iPhone 18 Pro series on X.

Since both of them have a track record of disseminating information about Apple products, it will be interesting to see whose prediction is correct.
Changes in body color information
Regarding the main body color of the iPhone 18 Pro series, the following four colors have been considered to be relatively popular so far.
- dark cherry
- light blue
- dark gray
- silver
After that, Mr. Kazuko Takao predicted three colors excluding silver: dark cherry, light blue, and black, and the idea that it would be available in three colors instead of four emerged.
This time, Sonny Dixon posted SIM card trays in three colors including silver, which means there is a possibility that dark gray and black will not be included in the lineup.
Dark cherry and blue have a common understanding
At this point, multiple sources generally agree on two colors: dark cherry and light blue.
Opinions are divided on the third color, with the focus being on whether it will be silver, dark gray or black.
Dark cherries were initially described by multiple expressions, including dark red and purple. The actual color can appear red or purple depending on the way the light hits it, so it is possible that the same color was expressed by different names.
Light blue could be an alternative to silver
The pale light blue color is cited as an element that supports the theory that silver is not used.
The sky blue color of the iPhone Air and MacBook Air is very pale, and depending on the lighting, it can look almost silver. If the light blue of the iPhone 18 Pro series had a similar finish, the color tone would be similar to silver, so it would be reasonable not to have both in the lineup at the same time.
Will it be officially announced next week with 3 colors?
At the moment, there is a growing belief that the iPhone 18 Pro series will be available in three colors. The information on the two colors dark cherry and light blue is almost the same, and the biggest point of interest is whether the remaining color will be silver, dark gray, or black.
If silver is not available in the lineup, pale light blue is likely to be an alternative candidate for users who have traditionally chosen it as the standard color for Apple products.
