IT House News on April 29th, technology media macobserver published a blog post yesterday (April 28th), reporting that some iPhone users reported that they encountered glitches after upgrading to iOS 26.4.2 and automatically reinstalled the deleted Headspace app at night.
Netizen rohowsky posted in the Reddit community on April 24 that he reinstalled the Headspace app on his iPhone 13 after upgrading to the iOS 26.4.2 update. According to the netizen’s description, he installed the application more than a year ago and subsequently deleted it.

The outlet’s investigation revealed that the issue was not caused by device management profiles or work accounts, but instead pointed to Apple’s App Recovery system. Because the automatic login function is turned on for the affected account, the iCloud synchronization mechanism or App Store purchase records may be triggered incorrectly, causing the system to forcefully restore uninstalled apps during the background synchronization process.
In response to this issue, Apple technical support recommended that users try to restore the device from backup, but this solution did not work. Users reported that even after performing a complete device recovery, the problematic app was automatically installed back on the phone the next morning.
