I’ll review the Tech Woven Case (black) for the iPhone17 Pro arrived earlier than the iPhone. It features a three-dimensional weave texture and can be combined with the simultaneous crossbody strap. I also tried installing it on my iPhone 16 Pro.
Tech Woven Case for iPhone17 Pro has arrived!
Two accessories, including the Tech Woven Case (black) and the crossbody strap (light blue), which I had pre-ordered along with the iPhone 17 Pro (silver), have arrived earlier.
So, following the crossbody strap, we will review the texture of the Tech Woven Case before the iPhone 17 Pro arrives, and the condition when it was attached to the iPhone 16 Pro.
The Tech Woven Case is a new case made from fabric material, following the fine woven case launched by Apple, which has stopped selling leather products.
According to Apple, the back is made of 100% recycled polyester material and the sides are made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

The Tech Woven Case, which was announced as a case for the iPhone17 Pro and iPhone17 Pro Max, comes in five colors: blue, purple, siena, green and black.
Of the three colors of the iPhone17 Pro/iPhone17 Pro Max, silver, cosmic orange, and deep blue, only the deep blue iPhone and blue cases can be found in the same colors as the Tech Woven Case, giving it a slightly more confusing impression.
The selling price in Japan is 9,980 yen (tax included) for both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Incidentally, the selling price in the US is $59. This price is the same as a crossbody strap.

The outer box of the Tech Woven Case (black) features a large photo of the case with an impressive camera opening.
The back of the outer box says “MagSafe and camera control compatible. Compatible with crossbody straps.”
The country of manufacture is in China and the manufacturing date is August 2025.

The tech woven case that protects your iPhone is made of woven fabric. This material may wear out over time. Using MagSafe accessories leaves a small mark.
Furthermore, there was also a warning about the traces of using MagSafe on the leather case previously sold by Apple.
Back material with yarn woven in three-dimensional form
The back of the Tech Woven Case is a texture made by woven in three-dimensional form of slightly thicker thread, giving it a rough feel. The Apple logo part is embossed and concave.
The materials are completely different so it’s a bit off the mark to compare them simply, but it has a dry feel, in contrast to the texture that sticks to the hand of the leather case.
The inside of the case, which is the surface that touches the iPhone, is made of fabric with a slightly different texture from the outside. It also has a built-in magnet for MagSafe.
There are holes on both sides of the bottom for attaching a crossbody strap.
Looking inside the case, it shows a structure with the inside of the mounting hole recessed. This is thought to avoid the string used to attach the crossbody strap to affect the fit.
The sides of the case are made of TPU material with fine unevenness. The camera control part has a covering structure, and the outside has a smooth texture.
The inside of the part that covers the camera controls has a moist texture, similar to a silicone sheet.
I installed a crossbody strap
I attached a crossbody strap to the Tech Woven case.
The crossbody strap mounting string is located in the dents around the mounting hole.
If it’s a strap that is attached with a string of similar thickness, it seems like it can be attached to a Tech Woven case without any problems.
I tried attaching it to my iPhone 16 Pro

Just like with a normal case, it was easy to put on with light force. However, the case is larger around the rear camera and is slightly floating. You can see the size of the rear camera part of the iPhone 17 Pro.
You can also operate the side buttons, volume buttons, and action buttons on the iPhone 16 without any problems.
You can also operate the camera controls from the top of the case.
When attached to the iPhone 16 Pro, the front edge is slightly higher than the glass film, and the screen is designed to protect it from contact with tables and other parts.
Summary: Impressions of Tech Woven Case
The Tech Woven Case is a highly textured case with a three-dimensional weave texture that gives a calm impression.
Regarding durability, it is a concern, since the most painful side, especially the corners, is made of strong TPU material, so it won’t easily become worn out. I got the impression that way.
What’s a bit of a concern is that the Tech Woven Case was not available in a bright color that is closer to the silver on the iPhone 17 Pro. I thought it would be nice to have a color like light gray.
On the other hand, even though the iPhone 17 Pro does not have a black color, the Tech Woven Case comes in black, making it a bit difficult to get the same color as the body, and it would be easier to choose if a lighter gray color is added.
