IT Home quoted a blog post and introduced that Apple introduced the screen recording function for the first time in the iOS 11 system, and the resolution has always been limited to the upper height or width limit of 1920px, resulting in the actual recording effect of modern iPhones far from the sharpness that the screen should have.
Specifically, in the iOS system before the upgrade, the screen recording resolution of the iPhone 16 Pro Max was only 884×1920, about 2/3 of the device’s full resolution.

In the latest beta beta version of iOS 26, this resolution has been increased to 1320×2868, which is exactly the same as the actual screen resolution of the device. The picture quality comparison shows that the video recorded in the new version is clearer in details, and the text and image edges are sharp, completely bidding farewell to the blurred experience of the past.
Surprisingly, while the resolution has increased significantly, the volume of the recorded files has not increased significantly. Test data shows that a 12-second screen recording of the same content has a file size of 24.2 MB in iOS 26 Beta 6, which is only 5.3 MB more than Beta 1’s 18.9 MB.
