You made the whole process super over complicated, there are much easier ways of doing this. And as far as searching for roms is concerned, china is now selling external HDD's that are filled with roms.

If I have the roms/games saved on a USB thumb drive connected to the fire tv, will they copy over to the retro arch app or do I need the drive connected to the fire tv every time I want to play?
Thanks Paul, I know you're not the developer for the app, but I am experiencing an issue and a recent review in the play store shows that I am not alone in this. When I attempt to upload a file the only folder available to me is ../storage/emulated/0/Android/data/mobi.koni.appstofiretv/ – when I attempt to go up a folder it tells me folder not found or no permission. But I have granted permission to the app, and confirmed in app settings on my phone. As an IT professional I'm no stranger to work arounds, so I attempted to use the Android File browser to copy the rom to the folder listed in the app, but I am unable to find that folder. I have turned on show hidden files just to ensure that wasn't the issue and even search on "koni" to see if I could find it that way. The other reviewer in the play store mentioned reverting to a previous version, but I don't have that option available to me. I'm hoping you've encountered this and might have a work around. Thanks!

Don’t bother with this emulator hands down the worst I ever used. Most cores are broken af and the fact you’re setting it up on a TV makes the process even more annoying. Give it a go on your phone first and see how terrible it is.

Ok. So I got a few games running. But really only NES games run well enough.
I couldn't get anything 16 bit to run like this guys.
