Hi there ! I managed to sucessfully install a Tahoe 26.3 VM running on Windows 24h2/VMWorkstation 25H2, but I am getting NO SOUND from it. The VM is not listing any devices detected.
Here is what I have already done before asking the experts :
1. Force the HDAudio Drive : These lines are present in the .vmx file :
sound.virtualDev = "hdaudio"
sound.present = "TRUE"
sound.autodetect = "TRUE"
2. Output is redirected to a sound card that windows 11 wandles ok

Tell me, please : would you place this newly installed VMware VM for professional use ( office work, sound and video edit and design, gaming, and so on )? Or would you be careful in what scenarios it is put to work. Do you think it is compatible with all the MAC software and hardware ecosystem ?
I am planning on deploying several of these VMs within my organization and would really want to know if they are adequate in all senses to be in a professiona, production environment!

Can you change the serial number via the vmx file?
I uupdated to 25H2 and downloaded the unlocker for VMware and ran the win-install.cmd with VMware closed. When I started to create a new VM, I still don't have the option for "Apple Mac OS" Any ideas of what I could try?

Hi, great tech guy, I wanted to ask you. I've been trying to install macOS 26 on VMware Workspace 25H2 since it came out, but in the end I had to give up and delete it. My problem isn't the installation, but rather after it's completed, it freezes, but then it doesn't work, it's almost frozen. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. My PC is an Intel I7 13620H, 24GB of RAM, and a 7400/6500MB R/S SSD.
It works for me without efi on my i5 1135g7 laptop for vmware
