   If you pre load and configure LUT does the canon work in high contrast scenes (not burning light stuff)? Does this work on streaming (not recording)?

   It's probably a solid camera on its own, but I feel like this is 5 years too late for the current market.

   I doubt a lot of people will be bothered by a slightly more "digital looking" video and choose the Canon over convenience and ease of use and footage that's ready for use straight out the camera.

   Does Samsung's or iphone's exposure blending, HDR or computational videography which makes it work in in high contrast scenes work through streaming like using streamlabs or IRl PRO, can the user select the camera to be used?

    Basically you confirm why I sold my Lumix GH5:
    – standalone cameras with smaller sensors and prices than full frame cannot compete with computational power
    – these phones have much higher dynamic range and stabilization and possibilities. The software is miles more advanced
    – phones can edit pictures with AI and desktop like editors
    – phones fit in your pocket
    – phones save HDR 10 bit already graded directly. And you can even choose a more natural preset on most cases. One problem less.

    For me the ABSOLUTE best combo:
    – my S25U with 1 TB space (1450€ at launch)
    – Insta360 Ace Pro

    equals to fabulous stabilization, great night results, HDR. Stand-alone cameras are cool but until they really step up massively, they make little sense…

    I shot my whole vacation on the iPhone 16 pro max with Apple Log H.265 and the quality is amazing. This is someone who owns the Sony A7S3 and Canon R6II. Here is the footage

    I am the rankest of amateurs at photography and videography. I use my phone for both but also have some cameras. For me, who does everything hand held, the tactile experience of using a camera is much more pleasing and appealing than using a phone. I much prefer holding a well designed camera that puts some thought into the grip and handling and ergonomics over the small hard to hold slab of a phone. Also, having an articulating screen can be very helpful in awkward positions or angles, and sometimes the look of a picture a camera gives is just preferable the image to what a phone provides. To be fair, sometimes the phone wins this battle. Even though phones are getting better and better, I still think there is room in the world for compact well designed cameras. Great comparison video, well done.

I actually just bought the Canon V one and was disappointed about a few things, but then after evaluating and playing with it more, I really come to like it and see the benefits of it compared to a phone.     The V1 isn't a point and shoot anymore but more of a vlogging camera. It's probably not like a traditional point and shoot where it's photos first and videos second. Which is a shame. I hope the rumoured V3 is a good photo focus camera.

    Can you please try the xperia 1 vi?
    It has variable zoom 3.5-7.1x and a removable sd card. It sounds like it would meet your needs quite well. Would be nice seeing it compared to a dedicated camera, especially a sony if you have one.
