The Apple Watch Series 12 precision ceramic version starts at 26,900 yuan, which is even more expensive than the Apple Watch Ultra 4, which starts at 25,000 yuan. The biggest advantage of ceramic is that it is scratch-resistant and less likely to leave small scratches after long-term use. However, the disadvantage is also obvious, that is, it is not resistant to falling, so you have to be careful after buying it, because the repair cost of breaking it is quite significant.
According to Apple’s latest official maintenance table, without AppleCare+, the battery replacement cost of the Apple Watch Series 12 precision ceramic version is 3,350 yuan, and the repair fee for other damage is as high as 20,190 yuan, which is almost enough to buy a new watch. In comparison, the repair fee for other damage to the titanium version is 15,190 yuan, and the aluminum version is as low as 9,890 yuan.
In fact, this is not the first time that Apple has used a ceramic case for the Apple Watch. The previous Apple Watch Series 5, which dates back to 2019, was launched again after 7 years.
