Apple has launched a new generation of Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. This upgrade focuses on the “internal”, including a new health sensing system, S11 chip, and SiriAI and other functions. However, one upgrade that Apple did not particularly emphasize at the press conference is that the memory of the new Apple Watch has actually been doubled.
New Apple Watch with 4GB memory
The previous generations of Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 were equipped with 2GB of memory, while the new generation of Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 were upgraded to 4GB in one go. With the latest S11 chip, in addition to enhancing daily operations and computing performance, it also supports more advanced Apple Intelligence, including Siri AI, but it still needs to be used with an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence.
This time Apple also added a new Audio Intelligence function to Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. For example, Live Rewind is like adding a “rewind button” to a real-life conversation. Just double-click the digital crown to convert the previous 15 seconds of conversation into text display. Contents that were not heard clearly or missed can be read immediately, and can also be queried or stored by Siri AI later.
Another item, Siri Recap, is like automatically taking “conversation notes” for you. After the chat, Apple Intelligence will sort out the titles and key points. If you want to review what you just talked about later, you don’t have to rely entirely on your own memory.
Siri AI initially only supports English
However, although Siri AI will be available on Apple Watch with watchOS 27, it will initially be launched in Beta form and will only support English. Therefore, Apple Taiwan’s official website currently does not specifically highlight the new Audio Intelligence function in the product introductions of Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.
