Among the 12 markets in the world, Taiwan is about the fifth cheapest. The cheapest one is in the United States, where US$1,999 is only about NT$62,950. However, it should be noted that the price listed on Apple’s official website in the United States is before tax, and US states are also required to levy a comprehensive consumption tax ranging from 0% to 10%.
