HUAWEI officially released a new trailer recently, confirming that it will launch a new generation of smartwatch HUAWEI Watch 6 at its global launch next week. Different from the past strategy of GT series usually being released in the mainland market first, the manufacturer chose to launch Watch 6 directly into overseas markets this time. As can be seen from the latest promotional video, this new wearable device focuses on lightweight and burden-free comfortable wearing experience, and will add a variety of new colors and more in-depth health monitoring functions.
In terms of appearance design, HUAWEI Watch 6 continues the iconic large-size round dial design, but has made many adjustments in details. Compared with the previous generation Watch 5, the screen surface of the new phone is relatively flat and equipped with spherical sapphire glass for protection. The screen frame adopts a narrow black design, and the rotating crown on the side is also made of metal, which improves the overall texture of the body.
The X-TAP health sensing area on the side of the fuselage is one of the highlights of this upgrade. The manufacturer changed the black sensing module of the previous generation to be wrapped in a metal frame, and the shape of the built-in sensor was also changed from circular to oblong. This change in hardware design means that the sensing technology inside HUAWEI Watch 6 has been updated, which is expected to bring more accurate health data analysis to users. In addition, there is an oval-shaped dedicated function button below the X-TAP button to facilitate various operations.
As for the system interface and functions, the trailer shows a new overlapping health information layout, allowing users to more intuitively check daily data such as physical readiness and sleep scores. To meet business and daily needs, users can even create and manage schedules and meetings directly on the watch.
In terms of color selection, it is currently known that there will be three styles of blue, black and light orange (peach). It is expected that the final color lineup will increase depending on the different surface size versions. Detailed hardware specifications and sales information of the product are still to be officially announced at the press conference next week.
