But for Taiwanese Apple fans, this wave of price increases also means that the iPhone 18 Pro series will officially cross the 40,000 yuan threshold.
However, it should be noted that this is only Mark Gurman’s analysis and speculation based on the current market conditions, and does not come from Apple’s internal price revelations. He also believes that it is not ruled out that Apple will eventually increase even more. After all, Mac and iPad have experienced significant increases before, and the iPhone has a huge loyal user base. Apple still has room to expand and increase prices. In addition, Apple recently launched a new rental program in the United States, which is expected to reduce users’ feelings about price increases.
There is also another school of thought in the market that Apple may adopt different increases this time based on storage capacity. In other words, the 256GB version may only increase by $100, but the increase may be further expanded for higher-capacity versions such as 512GB and 1TB.

On the other hand, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is widely expected to sell for more than US$2,000 (approximately NT$64,000). Looking at competitors, the price of Samsung’s latest Z Fold8 Ultra has reached over US$2,099.99 (approximately NT$67,000).
