If you download a game but keep spinning in circles, or if you want to know how fast your iPhone’s Internet speed is, you don’t have to use third-party speed testing software. Apple has its own dedicated App that can help you test it! It is also very versatile and can also test other functions such as battery performance.
You can download the “Apple Support” App from the App Store. After entering the App, select the iPhone you are using in “My Devices”, then click “Device Performance”, “Internet Speed Test”, and start the test. After completion, the current network upload and download speed status will be displayed.

If the speed test data is 1~5Mbps, it is suitable for transmitting LINE, sending and receiving emails, and browsing the web; 10~25 Mbps can watch YouTube 1080p videos and make video calls; 25~50 Mbps is suitable for online games and high-definition video streaming; and above 100 Mbps, it can perform 4K ultra-high-definition video and multi-person connections at the same time.
The difference from third-party speed testing software such as Speedtest is that Speedtest looks for the telecom operator’s computer room with the closest physical distance and the lowest PING value for testing. What it measures is the “limit theoretical value.” “Apple Support” is not only completely free and ad-free, but also connected to Apple’s dedicated server, so the data is more authentic. If the Speedtest test is fast, but the Apple speed test is very slow, it means there is a traffic jam on the path to the Apple server.
