Google launches a new generation of Pixel 11 series mobile phones, featuring smarter AI and comprehensive upgrades to camera hardware and software.
Google’s annual hardware launch event presented 7 new products at once. In addition to the four flagship phones of the Pixel 11 series, it also brought the Pixel Watch 5 smart watch, Pixel Buds Pro 2 earphones in a new olive green color, and the first-ever Bluetooth anti-lost device Pixel Tag. It updated everything from mobile phones to wearable devices to accessories.

The Pixel 11 series lineup includes Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The appearance changes this time are mainly concentrated in the camera row. The switch to a full-glass design not only makes the visual presentation simpler, but also increases the recognition of the new generation model. The thickness of the Pixel 11 camera row is reduced by 40%, reducing the camera bulge. Pixel 11 Pro The Fold is also thinner and lighter than its predecessor, with a further narrowed screen frame, enhanced overall machine protection and a newly designed hinge. Officials emphasize that the durability has been increased by three times.

Pro series phones also have exclusive HiLight lighting effects, which incorporate colored LED lights into the camera row. They are activated when the phone screen is placed downwards. They will light up when frequently used contacts receive calls. When talking to Gemini, you can also judge from the lighting effects whether the AI is listening or thinking. Google is expected to expand more functions to HiLight in the future to make the application scenarios more diverse.
The HiLight function is exclusive to Pro series phones. When frequently used contacts call or talk to Gemini, the back of the phone will light up.
The four new phones are all equipped with Tensor G6 chips, which significantly increase TPU computing performance by 50%, allowing the built-in Gemini Intelligence to execute faster, while also enhancing cross-App collaboration capabilities. For example, you can find concert ticket information from mobile phone photos and directly add it to Google Calendar reminder schedules. Gemini Intelligence has also created a new “speech modification” function. AI can not only help convert speech to text, but also automatically remove redundant words such as “um” and “ah” and organize it into smoother content, showing Google’s intention to further integrate AI into daily operations on mobile phones.
The camera is also the focus of the upgrade of the Pixel 11 series. The wide-angle main lens of all models has been replaced with a new sensor, which has higher photosensitivity and optimized night shooting performance. Pro and Pro XL also use a new telephoto lens. With AI matching, the professional zoom mode can be increased up to 120 times. Not only the hardware has been upgraded, but new functions such as one-click capture, camera style and creative mode have been added to the entire series, making the photo-taking gameplay more rich and interesting.
In addition to mobile phones, the new Pixel Watch 5 also deeply integrates Gemini Intelligence. With the blessing of Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 acceleration processor, it can run more AI functions on the device. For example, you can ask offline Gemini to set a timer. The smart watch will also actively provide real-time information in the background, such as automatically displaying boarding information when you walk into the airport. The fitness and health functions are also more comprehensive, with new tracking of sleep breathing quality trends, blood pressure trends, and insulin resistance trends, etc., which will be updated in September.
Pixel Watch 5 emphasizes the in-depth integration of Gemini Intelligence, providing 41mm and 45mm options, priced from 12,990 yuan and 13,990 yuan respectively.
Google also launched the Pixel Tag, a Bluetooth anti-lost device for the first time. It is IP67 dustproof and waterproof, supports Bluetooth channel detection, and ultra-wideband accurate search technology. It can be hung on keys, bags and other easily lost items. Its practical use is similar to Apple AirTag.

Except for the Pixel Tag, which will have to wait until November, all other new products are open for pre-order and are expected to be officially launched on August 20. This year, the Pixel 11 series has canceled the 128GB capacity version, and all models start from 256GB. Pro and Pro XL are launched in three capacity versions: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
