According to the latest report from foreign media “9to5mac”, the iPhone Ultra is expected to be equipped with dual main lenses (main lens and ultra-wide-angle) and two sets of front-facing lenses. Since a foldable phone contains an outer screen and an unfolded inner screen, front lenses are required on both sides. In the past, it was speculated that the outer screen lens will continue to be in the center top design, but the newly exposed accessory photos show that the lens hole of the outer screen has been moved to the “upper right corner”, while the lens hole of the inner screen is located in the “upper left corner”.
Although the tipster Ice Universe believes that this may be a misjudgment by the accessory manufacturer based on the corner cutting of the protective film, the actual screen will still maintain a symmetrical rounded rectangle, but if the news is true, it will break Apple’s long-standing design language of placing the selfie lens in the center. It is reasonable to offset the lens of the inner screen to avoid the central crease. However, if the selfie lens of the outer screen is also moved to the corner, users may need a period of adaptation to focus and angle adjustment when video or selfie taking.
