In recent years, HUAWEI has continued to promote technology research and development in the field of mobile imaging, and the latest news indicates that the brand is planning to launch deeper cooperation with DJI, a major handheld imaging and drone manufacturer. According to Weibo technology blogger “Smart Pikachu”, HUAWEI is currently carrying out in-depth ecological adaptation of the HarmonyOS system and DJI’s imaging hardware. The new mobile shooting solution jointly created by the two is very likely to be officially unveiled on the upcoming flagship mobile phone HUAWEI Mate 90 series.
The focus of this cooperation between the two parties is to break the system barrier between professional imaging peripherals and smartphones. Through compatibility with the underlying technology of HarmonyOS, HUAWEI devices will be fully interconnected with DJI’s Osmo Pocket series, Action cameras and related application ecosystems in the future. The overall adaptation covers shooting control, real-time transmission of materials, post-production editing and linkage of specific scenes, allowing creators to enjoy a more consistent shooting experience without cumbersome settings.
In terms of specific functional performance, it is revealed that HarmonyOS 6.1 and above will add a touch-to-pass function specially designed for DJI devices. Users no longer need to rely on third-party applications or physical cables. They can quickly establish a connection and transfer files with just a tap. The transfer process can completely retain the original image quality, and it is expected to only take about 10 seconds to transfer a 10GB video file, which significantly improves the efficiency of material export. Although the two parties have not officially announced the technical details, it is expected that more specific functional information will be exposed as soon as next month.
